Recharged for The Road of Life

What lies around the next curve or new tomorrow
On the road of life?
There may be joy and
There may be sorrow.
Whatever--
We must always be recharged and prepared.

Hubby and I love trekking through the mountains,
Exploring the back country and remote regions.
Charged with a sense of adventure and expectancy
We never know what lies beyond the next curve.
It may be breathtaking scenery,
Wild animals unaware humans are near or
Wash-outs that could throw our car off the mountain.

We've spent many hours
Hundreds of miles and
Exciting moments
Roaming through nature
And jotting fresh new ideas that come to mind--
Amidst the majestic splendor and solitude.

We always return home recharged and
Exhilarated with magical memories and
Ready to hop back on the road of life—
Living,
Loving and
Learning--
Facing challenges,
Implementing fresh ideas and
Reaching toward new goals and dreams.

"You are never too old to set another goal
Or dream a new dream."
--C.S. Lewis
You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.

Like cleaning the lens of glasses,
Time spent amidst solitude and
God’s majestic creation
Provides a clearer perspective for all of life.

“Every so often I need out—away from all these people I love most in the world—in order to regain a sense of proportion.
My special place is a small brook in a green glade, a circle of quiet from which there is no visible sign of human beings… "
--Madeleine L’Engle
